PARCC testing will begin on April 26 for all third, fourth, and fifth graders.  The teachers and students have been working hard to prepare for this on-line exam. This past Wednesday morning, all students practiced logging on to a sample test and answered a few questions.  This practice gave our new students and third graders a good idea of how PARCC testing runs. Here are some things you can do at home to help students perform their best:

1. Be sure your child is present for the testing. Makeup tests are available, but we feel children perform better if the test is taken with their own class as scheduled. Please note, sick children should stay home.
2. Be sure your child gets a good night’s rest.  We all know that we can do our best work when we are well-rested.
3. All children should have a hearty breakfast
4. The children should come to school on time and ready to work.
5. Help your children to relax; children need to feel safe and comfortable to perform well in school.
