with a BEF Star Award, and

Evelyn presented Mrs. Schnee with a STAR award, too!

The FW PTO sponsored Dialed Action Sports Team on Wednesday for curriculum enrichment.  This BMX bike team presented an Anti-Bullying Show for all our students to enjoy! So much fun this week at Francis Wyman!  At the Kindergarten Art Museum, every student displayed numerous pieces of art. We welcomed parents and gave them individualized tours around each room.  Great job students, teachers, volunteers, and parents for such a successful event!
Also, the PTO hosted two wonderful Book Bingo Days this week after school.  Many students attended and played game after game of Bingo!  Students were happy and numerous books were won. Thank you PTO and volunteer teachers.
Another edition of the Falcon Times came off the presses this week.  It makes for a fabulous read.  Click here to view!
Today, the entire school celebrated a SOAR incentive. After weeks of achieving coupons for Acts of Kindness, the students solved another puzzle on the "Wheel of Wyman" board revealing game day. They had a choice of playing a basketball game in the gym called Knockout or board games in the library.  Students in all grades demonstrated their sportsmanship skills as well as a strong sense of community, which is what makes Francis Wyman Elementary School such a great place to be!

See pictures below for all these fun times!

I hope you all enjoy a healthy and fun-filled Spring vacation with your children!  We look forward to seeing all our students back on Monday, April 24th for the final stretch.
My best,
Mrs. McDonald

Grade 1 Nursery Rhyme Concert was a smashing success this morning! Thanks to Mrs. Peabody and Mrs. Potts for their outstanding effort putting this show together.  All students were engaged and excited to perform in their first official concert.

Today, I had great fun teaching Grade 1 reading in Ms. Farmer's classroom. We read The Seed and the Giant Saguaro, followed by an activity creating our desert saguaros in bloom.  I am hoping this will help to bring a little sunshine next week after all the rain we've had!
