Francis Wyman students are enthusiastic, engaged learners!

I am always impressed by the high level of engagement displayed by our students in every class.  They are motivated to learn and demonstrate their new knowledge through research, written reports, Book Creator, cooperative math games, and Accelerated Reader just to name a few of the activities I observed this week.

Francis Wyman students visit the State House in Boston!

A group of students were invited to the State House this week by Representative Ken Gordon to witness firsthand the proposal of a new bill.  These students had the privilege of meeting with state officials, getting a tour of the building, and observing the new bill being proposed that would proclaim May the Month of Kindness.
We are so proud of these student ambassadors!

Ms. Mason's 3rd grade class becomes a human tic-tac-toe board while practicing their multiplication facts!

Multiplication Jeopardy challenges these 3rd grade students to recall the correct factors for a given product as quickly as possible.  You have to be fast, so keep practicing those facts!

Ms. Schnee's 4th grade ELA class performed a reader's theatre commemorating the observance of Martin Luther King Day on Monday, January 19.  This is a great opportunity for us to highlight our CARES motto and reinforce the message of treating all people fairly and with compassion!
Enjoy the long weekend.
