Children who will be entering Kindergarten this fall are invited to join the monthly Pre-K socials being organized by Mother-to-Mother.  You do not need to be a member of Mother-to-Mother to participate.  The next social will be held on Saturday, June 22nd from 10 am-11 am at the Francis Wyman school playground.  Please email Sharleen Davis at sharleendavis@hotmail.com to RSVP.

Teacher Luncheon was a Huge Success!

Thank you to the PTO Luncheon committee for their dedication to keep this wonderful tradition going year after year! The FW teachers and staff really enjoy the diverse food selections and the extra time together.  We are so fortunate to have such caring parents to give their time and talent to  create a beautiful luncheon.  Thanks to all the volunteers for such a yummy meal and a duty-free lunch/recess period, especially Lori Minichiello, Tamara Maniscalco, and Tracey Stevens for their leadership!

Field Day Postponed to Thursday June 20

Due to the strong chance of rain on Friday, June 7 and again on Monday June, 10 ( the rain date), we are postponing Field Day to Thursday, June 20 with a rain date of Friday, June 21. We will announce the change of date to the students tomorrow morning. We will be sending home paper notices tomorrow as well. Parents who had planned to volunteer should contact the Physical Education teachers to let them know of their availability on the new date of Thursday June 20. The P. E. teachers' email addresses are as follows: magee@bpsk12.org and rebelo@bpsk12.org.

Sports Day vs Field Day

There has been some confusion regarding the Student Council notice that went home last week. The Student Council is promoting a "Book Drive" to collect used books to give to children who do not have books at home. Students who participate in the Book Drive, can wear shirts or hats of their favorite sports team  on Friday, June 14. This is similar to past campaigns such as the Food Pantry donations last fall. Students who participated in donating items to the Food Pantry were allowed to participate in Silly Hat Day. Field Day is this Friday, June 7. All students participate in Field Day. The book drive is not connected to Field Day.
