Happy Halloween - October 31, 2016

Let the "Games" begin!
The office staff joined in the festivities today dressing up as "Family Game Night"!!
Can you guess which board games we chose to be?

Francis Wyman staff & students demonstrated their Halloween spirit and high levels of enthusiasm bright and early this morning during our Halloween parade.  Classrooms also capitalized on this special day with storytelling in the dark, spooky writing, vocabulary games with cross age partners, and art projects.

Great Job PTO!
Thank-you to all the PTO dance committee members for sponsoring and volunteering at our Francis Wyman Halloween Party last Friday night.  The students enjoyed dancing, treats, crafts, and games throughout the evening.  As always, your time, energy and commitment to our children is greatly appreciated!

Mrs. McDonald reads Ghost-Eye Tree
to Ms. Farmer's 1st grade class

Students enjoy creating scenes with their own "ghost eye trees" following the story.  They were happy to add their own spooky details including bats, owls, pumpkins and ghosts!

Welcome to "the zoo"!
Mrs. McDonald and Mr. Doiron were invited to Mrs. Duncan's Kindergarten classroom where we joined in singing the song "We're Going to the Zoo" in preparation for their upcoming field trip next week.  The students made great alligator and monkey puppets for us to share and sing along with. Thanks for sharing your artistic and musical talents with both of us.
