FIELD DAY FUN...
Francis Wyman students enjoyed a fun-filled day of relay races, tug-of-war, and dunk tank excitement thanks to the efforts of Mr. Magee, Mr. Rebelo and the numerous parent volunteers who helped make the day a huge success!  All classes worked hard to earn enough "gold" pirate coins to earn the dunk tank at the event and students enjoyed dunking Mrs. McDonald and all the teachers/counselors who volunteered to "walk the plank" and take a plunge for a fun cause.
Thank-you again to the PTO and all volunteers who helped make Field Day a yearly favorite.

Calling all children entering kindergarten at Francis Wyman this fall!  Please join us on Sunday,  June 21 from 4:00-5:00 pm for a laid-back, friendly play-date at the Francis Wyman school playground as part of monthly Pre-K socials being organized by Burlington Mother-to-Mother.  The socials are free and open to all incoming kindergarteners.  This is a great way for kids (and parents) to get to know each other and the school environment.  Please rsvp with both your name and your child's name to Sharleen Davis at sharleendavis@hotmail.com.  Hope you can join us!

Don't forget it's Dress Like a Pirate Day on Tuesday, June 23, 2015 as part of our last day celebration.  The students will participate in our final CARES assembly which will recognize and celebrate our amazing Francis Wyman School community.
Please enjoy a safe, relaxing summer!

As another school year ends and you're thinking about a special thank you for your child's teachers, try a unique approach!

The Burlington Education Foundation (BEF) provides a special Thank You! to recognize teachers, faculty, and staff who made the year special or went that extra mile. The STAR award program delivers a personalized certificate to the recipient and acknowledgement of the award to the principal and on our website. STAR awards can also be used to thank other community members who have made a difference, as well as acknowledge students for their hard work.

Forms are available online at http://www.burlingtonedfoundation.org/star-awards/. Entries must be completed by June 11th for delivery before the end of the school year. For every entry submitted, your donation of $20 helps to support the BEF’s mission in making the Burlington schools outstanding.

Thanks again to our fabulous music staff, Mrs. Peabody, Ms. Potts, and Ms. Berger for a wonderful spring concert.  It was great to see the third grade students learning new instruments including the recorder and violin.  Second and third graders were proud to sing and play their patriotic songs, and we are very proud of them for a job well-done!
